Customer Reviews
Immediately after getting this set, I tried using the 1/4" straight bit on a piece of particle board. While cutting a 3/8" deep groove, the bit quickly broke. What was the reason?
(1)Is particle board too tough for this bit?
(2)Are 1/4" shanks in general, too light-duty for this application?
(3 Are these router bits made of Pot-metal?
Maybe I got what I paid for:(
Some of the bits appear to be ok. Un fortunately when I first opened the wood case one of the wood mounts had broken free and a bunch of bits were rattling around in the box. That is bad for the sharp edges. The 1/4" bit broke after about an hours use. Not to good. Spend a little more and get a good set if you plan on using it much.
