Power and Performance
Delivering the power to meet the toughest applications, the router's 1-1/4 horsepower motor offers a soft start which reduces twist, thus enabling better control and precision. A patent-pending depth adjustment ring provides a quick, intuitive depth setting to maximize productivity and consistency in the woodshop, and the adjustment ring provides controlled bit depth changes to within 1/64-inch. It's complemented by an easy-to-use 12-position spindle lock, which allows ratcheting for great accuracy and ultimate convenience.
The 450 comes with a standard base with a 4-inch diameter, which accepts universal template guides. Its extended 8-slot, 1/4-inch collet maximizes surface contact with router bit shank for a tighter grip, and spring-loaded release tabs allow for quick base removal.

This is the perfect marriage between the 1.5 horse standard size and the smaller trim routers. It is smaller in size but with the full circumference base housing leaving no chance for flexing or varying depth which has been a problem with the half circumference base housings of the small trim routers.It also has the proper base plate for the template collar rings for doing door and jamb dapping.

Not quite sure what they were going for with this one. Felt too big to be a trim router but too small to be a full size machine. We sent it back and will stick with the ful size Bosch router and the assortment of trim routers we use now.
